Three dimensional props and models

Project True Thunder (2016-17): A life-scale, animatronic cardboard model of Dilophosaurus wetherilli, based on measurements taken from literature. The jaws and eyes are movable by electrical servo motors, and speakers installed in the nasal cavity is used to simulate roars. The model can be worn either as a mask or a hand puppet, with the actor's arm movement simulating the dinosaur's neck. I would like to thank C. M. Holliday and L. M. Witmer for suggestion and advice in dinosaur cranial soft tissue anatomy, T. J. Roberts for laboratory resources and instrumentation instructions, as well as S. M. Gatesy, M. L. Turner, and A. R. Manafzadeh for encouragements and support.

Project Horror Bull (2015): A 1:1 scale, static cardboard model of the head of Carnotaurus sastrei, based on measurements taken from the holotype specimen (MACN-CH 894). A bluetooth loudspeaker is installed in the neck region to simulate roars. I would like to thank C. M. Holliday and L. M. Witmer for suggestion and advice in dinosaur cranial soft tissue anatomy.
